National Senior Citizens Day – 18 August 2025
Honouring Wisdom, Experience, and Lifelong Contribution
National Senior Citizens Day, observed every year on 18 August, is a time to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable role that senior citizens play in our families, communities, and nation. It is a day to express gratitude for their lifetime of dedication, sacrifices, and the wisdom they share with younger generations.
At Dayawati Modi Academy, we believe that respect for elders is not just a courtesy — it is a value deeply rooted in our ethos. Our students are continually encouraged to show kindness, empathy, and gratitude towards their parents, grandparents, and senior members of society. Through daily interactions, cultural traditions, and value-based education, they learn that elders are a living treasure of knowledge and life experience.
Even before the special celebrations, our students practise these values in their homes and community — offering help, spending time, listening to stories, and learning from the experiences of senior citizens. This culture of respect and compassion is at the heart of DMA’s vision of nurturing socially responsible and emotionally intelligent individuals.
On 18 August, the school community will come together to mark this important occasion — celebrating the bond between generations and reaffirming our commitment to honour, respect, and care for our elders, today and always.
