Walking down the corridors of nostalgia and resurrecting its glorious moments in the Academy, from 1986 to 2011 batch marked the campus with its zealous and spirited presence on Dec 23, 2017 in the Alumni Meet organized by the Academy. The occasion was graced by the alumni and their family. Most of them are well placed in various parts of the country and have made their alma mater proud by their commendable workand proved to be the best global citizens.
All the alumni were warmly and cordially welcomed in Indian tradition with tilak ceremony and a memento. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by revered Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ritu Dewan, Vice Principal Mr. Kapil Christopher, Head Master Mr. Rajeev Dhaka, Co-ordinators and senior members of the Academy followed by the prayer to evoke the blessings of the Almighty which lent a pious touch to the ambience. The cultural bonanza comprising songs and dance was presented by Mr. Rajeev Arora, Mr. P. K. Sharma, Ms. Sapna Sharma, Ms. Farhana Begum, Ms. Labiba, Ms. Shilpi Chuadhary, Ms. Manjree Agarwal & Ms. Nupur Anand. Exciting and fun filled games not only energized the atmosphere but also enlivened the very spirit of the Christmas and the New Year. All were enthralled by their mellifluous songs and gave them a standing ovation. This was followed by formal introduction of the Alumni and their family members. A digital presentation of golden memories of the alumni was presented by Mr. Priyank Saxena which left them in ecstasy. Everybody present felt proud to see that school has achieved 21st century Microsoft School certificate and has been awarded as India’s Greatest Brand 2016-17.
Acknowledging the notable efforts of the teachers and the support staff, the Alumni shared their memories, experiences and the great time they spent in the Academy. They expressed that they are enjoying the zenith of fruitful success which they owe to their teachers and the Academy. They truly enjoyed their time at DMA 1, a fine institution where one can build and foster great relationships with peers and teachers as well. It is the only contribution of the Academy which not only imparted good education but also helped them imbibe values that made their foundation of life.
The Principal Dr. (Mrs.) RituDewan appreciated the wonderful efforts put by the teachers to make the programme a great success. She conveyed her heartfelt wishes to all for Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.
The splendid evening came to a close on a cheerful note with sumptuous dinner.
